Transcended to the Past

The Beamish Town Open Air Museum is a place like no other. Hidden in Durham County, it has 300 acres of beautiful countryside. With staff members that reenact various lifestyles from the Victorian and Georgian times, you not only get to see how the Beamish lived but hear about it as well. There are countless things to explore from the Pitt village to Durham Road. There are even structures and locomotives that date back to the 18th century. It is very tricky, for within moments you are transported from present day into the past. On a sunny day you can stand still and just take in all of its splendor, for there is serenity hidden in the leaves and precious stones. The Beamish Museum is not only known for its incomparable natural beauty but also for its authenticity as well by staying true to the times. One commodity that was very important to the people was coal. On its grounds there is a tunnel that was once used for mining coal by the Beamish. From beautiful landscapes to original word press, there is loads to see. No matter what interest you the Beamish Town Open Air Museum is the place to learn from, for it is a leading force in making sure its history never dies nor is ever forgotten.
